The DeForest Area Needs Network is a tax exempt, not-for-profit organization founded in November 1998 at the suggestion of the DeForest Area Clergy board as a central point of contact for people in the DeForest Area School District communities requiring help with rent, utility bills, car repairs, medications and/or medical bills.
The Board of Directors meet on a monthly basis the last Thursday of the month. At this meeting the current requests for help are reviewed, discussed and a decision made as to the outcome of the request.
These requests for help could not be met without the support of community businesses and organizations as well as members of the public through their donations.
The funds we receive through donations and fundraisers are dispersed according to the guidelines of adopted policies and procedures.
Some of the programs DANN is involved in the children's Holiday Gift Giving program and the Tree of Wisdom,for some senior citizens in the community
